Overview
We are seeking an experienced IT Broadcast Technician to support, maintain, and troubleshoot both IT and broadcast systems. This role combines expertise in IT infrastructure, networking, and audio/video signal flow to ensure smooth and reliable broadcast operations, including transmission, recording, and playback of content. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills across multiple platforms and the ability to collaborate closely with production and IT teams.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain Windows file and database servers, PCs, and Microsoft Office environments.
  • Administer Linux and macOS systems.
  • Oversee network administration, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Administer the local domain, including critical dispatch and production systems.
  • Provide general user support and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Manage and monitor SLAs and liaise with external IT infrastructure providers for setups and ongoing support.
  • Collaborate with external hardware and systems providers for maintenance and upgrades.
  • Maintain and modify local databases and the internal Intranet site.
  • Oversee PBX/phone system modifications and management.
  • Manage software licensing and ensure compliance.
  • Contribute to and enforce cybersecurity measures across systems and networks.
Requirements
  • A third-level qualification in Computer Science or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a dedicated IT support or systems administration role.
  • Strong understanding of networking, server management, and system integration.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High attention to detail with strong analytical and technical abilities.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to manage a varied workload.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ownership and accountability in completing tasks.
  • Customer-focused, proactive, and solutions-oriented approach.
