Overview
We are seeking a skilled IT Support Engineer to join our client's team in Dublin on a 12-month contract. The successful candidate will provide high-quality first and second-level technical support for end users, ensuring efficient resolution of hardware, software, and mobility issues while maintaining excellent customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Level 1 and Level 2 support for workstations, laptops, and mobility devices.
  • Assist with infrastructure-related tasks including installations, replacements, relocations, and removals.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software incidents for computer systems.
  • Support and manage mobile devices (iPhone, iPad) for software-related issues.
  • Maintain and support inventory units such as monitors, local/network printers, scanners, and docking stations.
  • Manage receipt, inventory, and preparation of materials and spare parts, ensuring timely installation and feedback to users.
  • Monitor production environments using dashboards and KPIs, contributing to continuous improvement of processes and documentation.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive user experience at all times.
Technical & Professional Skills
  • Strong technical knowledge of Windows environments, Office 2016 / Microsoft 365, MS Teams, Mail services, and collaboration tools.
  • Familiarity with mobile services and Apple environments (iPhone/iPad).
  • Experience in incident and request management (ITIL framework preferred).
  • Ability to monitor and report on production environments and contribute to documentation improvements.
  • Prior experience in IT support within a large enterprise environment.
Essential Experience & Attributes
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in onsite IT support and customer service roles.
  • Excellent customer service orientation, interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong listening, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Highly motivated, with a desire to learn and improve continuously.
  • Organized, independent, and pragmatic approach with strong hands-on capability.
  • Fluent English, both spoken and written.
