Application Management
  • Lead the selection, implementation, and support of enterprise applications to enhance business productivity.
  • Collaborate with department heads to gather requirements and ensure applications meet operational needs.
Security, Compliance & Risk Management
  • Implement and monitor security protocols to safeguard IT assets and sensitive data.
  • Stay updated on evolving compliance requirements (e.g., NIS2) and ensure IT systems remain fully compliant.
  • Support regulatory compliance in the food manufacturing sector, advising on IT adjustments as needed.
Budget & Resource Management
  • Develop and manage the IT budget, aligning expenditures with strategic objectives and optimising ROI.
  • Identify efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
Strategic Planning & Collaboration
  • Align IT initiatives with organisational objectives and growth strategies.
  • Foster strong collaboration with internal stakeholders, consultants, and external vendors.
  • Leverage emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
ERP Changeover Project
  • Provide technical expertise during the ERP system transition.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to define project scope, deliverables, and milestones.
  • Oversee resource allocation and timelines to ensure successful delivery.
Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of learning, accountability, and progression.
  • Implement training plans, succession planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive root-cause problem solving to eliminate repeat issues and support wider CI projects.
Other Duties

  • Confidence to work independently under pressure and to make sound decisions.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively across all levels.
  • A forward-thinking approach with a passion for improving systems and processes.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline (Master's or certifications desirable).
  • Proven experience in an IT management role, ideally within manufacturing or a similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of networking, IT security, risk management, and enterprise systems architecture.
  • Hands-on experience with ERP implementation and change management processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resources, and projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective leadership skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
