Role Overview We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to take ownership of all IT functions across the organisation. This role requires strategic leadership, hands-on technical expertise, and strong collaboration skills. You will oversee IT infrastructure, applications, security, and risk management while driving innovation, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives. You will also play a key role in supporting major transformation projects such as an ERP changeover, and in developing a skilled, high-performing IT team to support the company's growth.
Key Responsibilities
IT Infrastructure Management
Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organisation's IT infrastructure to ensure reliability, scalability, and performance.
Manage servers, storage, and networking systems, ensuring efficient patching, upgrades, and availability.
Establish and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards for data integrity, security, and compliance.
Application Management
Lead the selection, implementation, and support of enterprise applications to enhance business productivity.
Collaborate with department heads to gather requirements and ensure applications meet operational needs.
Security, Compliance & Risk Management
Implement and monitor security protocols to safeguard IT assets and sensitive data.
Stay updated on evolving compliance requirements (e.g., NIS2) and ensure IT systems remain fully compliant.
Support regulatory compliance in the food manufacturing sector, advising on IT adjustments as needed.
Budget & Resource Management
Develop and manage the IT budget, aligning expenditures with strategic objectives and optimising ROI.
Identify efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities without compromising service quality.
Strategic Planning & Collaboration
Align IT initiatives with organisational objectives and growth strategies.
Foster strong collaboration with internal stakeholders, consultants, and external vendors.
Leverage emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
ERP Changeover Project
Provide technical expertise during the ERP system transition.
Work with cross-functional teams to define project scope, deliverables, and milestones.
Oversee resource allocation and timelines to ensure successful delivery.
Team Leadership & Development
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals, fostering a culture of learning, accountability, and progression.
Implement training plans, succession planning, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Drive root-cause problem solving to eliminate repeat issues and support wider CI projects.

Experience & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related discipline (Master's or certifications desirable).
Proven experience in an IT management role, ideally within manufacturing or a similar industry.
Strong knowledge of networking, IT security, risk management, and enterprise systems architecture.
Hands-on experience with ERP implementation and change management processes.
Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, resources, and projects in a fast-paced environment.
Effective leadership skills, with a track record of developing high-performing teams.
