The Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Manager to take ownership of IT management, governance, security and operational resilience within a highly regulated environment.
This is a broad role combining IT operations, third-party supplier management, IT projects, cybersecurity, risk management, business continuity and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with senior management and key stakeholders to ensure IT systems and services are secure, resilient, well governed and fit for purpose.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee IT systems, infrastructure, connectivity, remote access, telephony and associated technology services.
  • Lead and project manage IT maintenance, development, improvements and change initiatives.
  • Manage third-party IT suppliers and monitor performance against agreed service levels.
  • Review, develop and maintain IT policies, procedures and ICT controls.
  • Own and maintain Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery plans, including regular testing and scenario exercises.
  • Support the development and ongoing management of Digital Operational Resilience (DORA) requirements.
  • Oversee IT incident management and ensure effective response and resolution.
  • Identify and manage IT, cybersecurity and technology risks in collaboration with risk management and senior leadership.
  • Ensure appropriate security of systems, data, network access and backup arrangements.
  • Develop and coordinate IT and cybersecurity awareness and training for staff and volunteers.
  • Support the implementation of new technologies, systems and services.
  • Provide IT advice and support to senior management and the Board.
  • Assist with regulatory and compliance requirements, including engagement with relevant financial-services regulatory bodies.
  • Contribute to IT budgeting, forecasting and the planning of technology investments.
  • Drive continuous improvement across IT infrastructure, governance, security and service delivery.
Candidate Profile
  • Proven experience in IT management, ICT operations, IT governance, technology risk or a related environment.
  • Experience managing third-party IT providers and technology projects.
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity, IT controls and risk management.
  • Experience with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery planning and testing.
  • Knowledge of DORA and ICT operational resilience requirements is highly desirable.
  • Experience within financial services or another regulated environment would be advantageous.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior management and external providers.
  • Organised, commercially aware and capable of managing multiple priorities in a regulated environment.
